Wahl Academy The Fade Course teaches all aspects of this classic barbering technique from the basics you need to know to create the perfect fade with no visible lines and a clean finish, to the more advanced techniques needed to achieve skin fades, shading and blending.
This course is a must for anyone who is serious about barbering and men’s hairdressing.

Fading is perhaps one of the most important skills in men’s hairdressing and possibly one of the hardest to perform to a high standard. Fades are a mainstream style that have been around for years and due to the style’s simple upkeep requirements they are likely to be a style that remains popular for years to come. The ability to fade well means the difference between a good cut and a great cut.

Andrea Raymond is passionate, committed and hugely talented. Andrea continues to raise the bar for female barbers, firmly establishing herself as a platform artist who is both knowledgeable and dedicated to being a positive influence for aspiring barbers. Adept at delivering the latest cutting edge techniques Andrea is perfectly positioned to educate the next generation of barbers, ensuring quality and diversity across every Wahl exhibition, show and course.

Three years of experience is recommended for this course.

Duration 9.30am- 3.30 pm

Course Date and Location: 3 rd October 2022 – The Hair and Beauty Company, Ballybane Industrial Estate, Tuam Road, Galway

Day plan (Inc. practical) – models to arrive 15 minutes before stated times

09.00 – Delegates arrive
09.30 – Intro
10.00 – 1 st Demonstration 1x model
11.00 – 2 nd Demonstration 1x model
12.00 – 3 rd Demonstration 1x model

13.00 – Break for lunch (sandwiches/tea/coffee/water included in price)

13.30 – Practical Session 1x model per delegate required
15.30 – Review of day and close

Students must be 18+. Students must have experience in barbering or men’s hairdressing.
Please arrange a model for 1.30pm.  If you can’t arrange a model you can bring a mannequin head or purchase one in our store.

Arrive at 9.15 am for a prompt start.

Students need to bring, scissors, combs, trimmers, clippers, blade attachments, hairdryers – anything you feel you will need to complete a haircut that you do not provide.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit is non-refundable. Balance is to be paid in full 1 week before the training day.
