The Hair And Beauty Company is one of Ireland’s leading suppliers of Salon Supplies, Barber Equipment and Hair and Beauty essentials in Ireland, with over 20 years’ experience in the industry.
Late one evening, we talked about our future in one of Galways restaurants. Over the course of the conversation one specific thought came to both of us at the same time! Why not open our own hair and beauty shop? We already had experience in the industry and we wouldn’t be starting from scratch… This thought stayed with us, but we hadn’t yet realised , that it would soon become a reality…
After working in the hair and beauty service industry for 15 years, we decided that we wanted to move our focus to retail. We had many discussions regarding this and during one summer we took the plunge and opened our flagship store in Eyre Square Shopping Centre, Galway in 2007. The small store quickly became a huge success and we also managed to expand and open 3 new wholesale stores.
The biggest challenge at that time was to get to know our new customers, to find out their needs and to give them the best service. We realised that the hair and beauty industry is not only about products, but also about knowledge and proper training, and so was born the THBC Training Academy.
We are extremely proud of our training centre. Our knowledgeable educators have over 15 years experience in teaching and are professionally prepared to train anyone from complete beginners to those who are more advanced within the industry.

At THBC we have a commitment to our customers needs and to the industry, we are always trying to be as up to date as possible with all the latest hair and also beauty trends. This is why we decided to become a part of the Professional Beauty Show. Our first official show took place on the 5th and 6th October 2014. This was a new challenge for us, and also a great experience. The show was a huge success and helped us promote our business in different parts of Ireland. We met many fantastic people and earned ourselves a great number of new customers.
After The Professional Beauty Show we received a phone call from The Irish Beauty Show, asking if we wanted to take part in their event. In March 2015 and March 2016 we were exhibiting again.
Beauty shows seem to have become a habit, as we now take part in them on regular bases. We have discovered that they are one of the best ways of meeting our customers and also finding out their needs.
Because we want to be different from our competitors, we are always trying to bring new, exclusive, quality products to the market. Every product has been tested by us personally, to make sure that what we sell is of the best quality. We are a proud distributor of fantastic brands such as Lisap Milano, Fonex, Gummy, Milk_shake. All of these brands were carefully selected in response to our customer’s needs.
